We always phase our clients’ pots according to the weather. If we’ve had a heads-up that they’d like hydrangeas, it usually means waiting until mid-season, when the weather is kinder (easier said than done these days), but for many, the reward of being greeted by marshmallow clouds every day is worth it.
If you’re like us and already dreaming up your spring planter creations, here’s a few tips:
*Incorporate branches for immediate structure and impact while you are waiting for those bulbs to bloom
*bulk it up with spring flowering perennials like rhododendron, hellebores or forsythia for enduring colour. They can be repurposed in your garden later too!
*pansies are a great choice for a long lasting colour pop
