The Vetiver team is based in Toronto, but we welcome design projects across Ontario, including Muskoka and Collingwood. We’re a close-knit team of women with diverse backgrounds and a wide range of skills to offer including creative and technical expertise in garden design, floral design, interior design and project management.

A true flower child– Emmeline was destined to work closely with nature. She grew up in her family’s flower shop Blossoms, wherein she was a curious and enthusiastic admirer of her mum’s classically English and European floral style. From there, Emmeline began to cultivate her own eye for design.
Since then, Emmeline has worked in the world of interiors as well as helped establish one of Toronto’s leading, multi-locational nurseries’ Custom Design service. Her 10+ years of industry insight and a characteristic passion for paving her own way in life has led her to where she is now– at the intersection of florals and everyday living.
Emmeline’s vision is to create moments for people to draw their awareness towards nature, experiencing its boundless beauty. Her sophisticated style is refined and elegant in the most natural way. She sensitively identifies and accentuates nature’s splendour.
Her connection to nature continues to lead her, in perpetuum, towards exploring it’s world beyond just the lens of design. She is
a graduate of the University of Toronto’s Environmental Arts Program (Victoria College) and a clinically-trained Herbalist (RH).

A rewarding career in film and television production design has prepared Arianna to handle anything with grace. She is excited about good design, in all forms, and her disciplines compliment the Vetiver vision well. Arianna’s skilled, technical insights and education make her a must-have in all aspects of our projects, especially those on a larger scale. This includes our garden design work and interior plantscapes– projects rooted in detail and precision. She asks the right questions and delivers on client requests with ease and integrity; two principles at the core of what we do here at Vetiver.

To our wonderful clients—you likely already know Arianna, your go-to gal for the summer planter design season.
She really does it all here at Vetiver (and somehow manages to look gorgeous doing it, even with dirt on her face, which, let`s be honest is most of the time when we`re `in it`)!
You’ll be seeing plenty of her along with the rest of the team while Emmeline rests at home with her very new baby.

We always phase our clients’ pots according to the weather. If we’ve had a heads-up that they’d like hydrangeas, it usually means waiting until mid-season, when the weather is kinder (easier said than done these days), but for many, the reward of being greeted by marshmallow clouds every day is worth it. ...
If you’re like us and already dreaming up your spring planter creations, here’s a few tips:
*Incorporate branches for immediate structure and impact while you are waiting for those bulbs to bloom
*bulk it up with spring flowering perennials like rhododendron, hellebores or forsythia for enduring colour. They can be repurposed in your garden later too!
*pansies are a great choice for a long lasting colour pop
